Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pavlar Wilhern (ranked 5531 p4p, 4948 weight class) and Cal Jefferson (ranked 0 p4p, 519 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

Jefferson misses with a takedown
and Wilhern connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

It looks like Cal Jefferson has been cut.
That kick from Wilhern tenderised Jefferson's leg. Jefferson is trying to keep his angry face on.

Jefferson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Wilhern, pushing him back against the cage.
Jefferson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Wilhern walks away with a smile on his face. Jefferson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Pavlar Wilhern has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cal Jefferson.
Jefferson shoots for a double leg takedown but Wilhern sprawls well. He's pushed Jefferson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Jefferson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Wilhern but Wilhern pushes him off and we're back to square one.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Wilhern creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Wilhern for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.

Jefferson wants to take the fight to the mat but Wilhern manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Jefferson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Wilhern drops Jefferson with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Jefferson looks back up at him and smiles so Wilhern waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Jefferson drops his hands momentarily. Wilhern doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Jefferson staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Jefferson doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
