Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Raminus Polus (ranked 2379 p4p, 4728 weight class) and Zayaan Reese (ranked 341 p4p, 562 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Reese misses with a few strikes there.
Polus avoids the body shot from Reese.
Reese paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Polus fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Reese, pushing him back against the cage.
Reese fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Reese tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Polus's elbow.
Reese can't find room to land a body shot as Polus controls the action.
Polus stops a takedown attempt from Reese.
Polus lands a shoulder strike.
I was talking to Polus's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Polus lands with a light punch inside.
Polus prevents a body shot from Reese.
Polus lands with a short shot to the head.
Reese misses with the head strike.
Polus blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
A head punch on the inside from Reese fails to land.
Reese is trying to break the clinch but Polus has him pressed against the cage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Polus looking to hit a scissor sweep but Reese is one step ahead there.

Reese got a little sloppy there for a moment and Polus has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Reese has managed to get both his arms back between Polus's legs - danger averted.

Polus is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Reese frees his head nicely. Oh but Polus has switched to an armbar! Reese is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
