Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Darrel Petersen (ranked 2763 p4p, 4001 weight class) and Moe Lester (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 25 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Darrel Petersen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 15 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Moe Lester! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Anni Minnemäki and Ben Zyskovitsi.

Lester looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Petersen is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Lester tries to land a sweep but no joy. Petersen wants to control from the top but Lester keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Petersen is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Petersen drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Lester dives on top into guard.
Lester must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Lester wants to control from the top but Petersen keeps moving. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Petersen not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Petersen has his foot on Lester's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lester works his way back into a safe position though. Petersen wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Lester really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Petersen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Petersen passes into half guard. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! You can see the frustration on Lester's face as Petersen controls the position. Lester tries to get back to half guard but can't. Petersen working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Petersen trying to control the position but Lester is working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Lester is letting Petersen control him for a moment. Petersen is looking to take a break and control but Lester is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Petersen connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Lester some visible discomfort.

Lester is trying to escape and Petersen transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Lester is forced to tap! Nice work there by Petersen! Very nice indeed!
