Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Phol Boxaaja (ranked 2994 p4p, 1978 weight class) and Donnie Larkin (ranked 374 p4p, 267 weight class). Donnie Larkin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 18 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Phol Boxaaja! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Donnie Larkin! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yukihiro Shimada.

It looks like Donnie Larkin has been cut. Larkin lands with a right hand. Larkin scores with a nice head shot. Larkin throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. and Boxaaja counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Boxaaja circles away from the clinch attempt and Boxaaja counters with a nice uppercut. Boxaaja on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Larkin. Larkin obviously looking to wear him down.

That's one minute gone in the round. Nice uppercut there from Larkin. Larkin fails in his attempt to clinch. Boxaaja feinted there with a counter leg kick. Boxaaja ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. A looping hook to the body misses from Boxaaja. Larkin does a little dance to reset his feet. Boxaaja throws a quick inside leg kick. Boxaaja throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Boxaaja connects with a body shot that sends Larkin's belly button to the back. Larkin lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Larkin throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Larkin misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. A counter left hand to the body from Boxaaja misses its target. Larkin goes for a double leg but Boxaaja avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Boxaaja continues to drive forward. Boxaaja swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Larkin takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. This has been an exciting period of action! Boxaaja blocks a head kick by Larkin.
Larkin throws a leg kick that is checked and Boxaaja counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Larkin's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Donnie Larkin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Larkin avoids the body shot from Boxaaja.
Larkin takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Larkin moves out of range of the body kick. Larkin closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Boxaaja to the mat! Boxaaja manages to get full guard. Boxaaja has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Larkin can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Boxaaja looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Boxaaja is looking for a triangle here but Larkin uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Boxaaja is in trouble now - Larkin has advanced to mount! Boxaaja tries to hold on but Larkin pushes him away. Boxaaja tries to get back to half guard but can't. Larkin avoids the attempt from Boxaaja to control. Boxaaja keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Boxaaja tries to improve his position but Larkin has taken his back! Larkin has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Boxaaja tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Larkin pushes Boxaaja away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
