Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mateusz Biernat (ranked 3319 p4p, 2956 weight class) and Atanase Teodor (ranked 390 p4p, 360 weight class). Biernat kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Chłopcy idą na wojne. Teodor has chosen Billy Idol - Rebel Yell as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Atanase Teodor has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Mateusz Biernat's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 22 - 1, fighting out of London, Mateusz Biernat!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Atanase Teodor!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Percy O'Donnell.

Biernat avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Biernat looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Teodor tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Biernat gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Teodor counters with a nice uppercut.
Biernat shoots for a takedown but Teodor saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Biernat is defended easily by Teodor.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Biernat closes the distance and clinches up with Teodor, looking for a takedown. Biernat pushes Teodor against the cage but Teodor circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Biernat changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Teodor tries to avoid it but Biernat manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Teodor to the ground. Teodor escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Biernat bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Biernat throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Teodor's waist but Teodor gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Biernat off to one side.

Biernat bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Teodor manages to get back to half guard.
Biernat is looking to take a break and control but Teodor is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Teodor wants to improve his position but Biernat is controlling well.
Biernat looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Teodor is trying to get back to full guard.
Biernat seems to be looking for submissions.

Biernat drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Teodor manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Biernat has Teodor in his guard.

Biernat working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Teodor doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Teodor manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Biernat has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Teodor is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Biernat.
Teodor wants to lay and pray for a moment but Biernat keeps working.
Biernat is looking to regain half guard here but Teodor keeps moving and retains side control.
Teodor stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Biernat tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Biernat misses with a takedown attempt - Teodor sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
It seemed like Teodor was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Biernat looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Teodor drops Biernat with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Biernat looks back up at him and smiles so Teodor waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Biernat is rocked!
It looks like Mateusz Biernat has been cut.
Teodor darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Biernat's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Teodor before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:16 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Atanase Teodor!
