Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Synjin Boomkin (ranked 3077 p4p, 3831 weight class) and Kason Rose (ranked 334 p4p, 411 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Boomkin gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Rose throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Boomkin works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Rose controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Let's hope that Rose has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Rose has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Rose there as he acknowledges the shot.

Boomkin looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Boomkin is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Boomkin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rose moves away.

Rose shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Boomkin is trying to defend but Rose finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Rose is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Boomkin defends it well.
Rose thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Boomkin's head.
Rose uses his free foot to push down on Boomkin's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Boomkin.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Rose has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Boomkin is in real trouble here. Rose gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Boomkin is tapping out! Rose wins by rear naked choke!
