Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between French Cruller (ranked 4804 p4p, 4834 weight class) and Jono Markaban (ranked 207 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jono Markaban!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Russell Pearce and Steve Montenegro.

Cruller fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Markaban to the ground. Cruller is now in Markaban's guard.
Markaban throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Cruller slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Markaban is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Markaban is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Cruller defends it well.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Cruller flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Cruller is positioning himself well to prevent Markaban advancing to mount.

Cruller lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Cruller postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Markaban looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

That was a close second round but I would say that French Cruller will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Markaban shoots for a takedown but Cruller saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

French Cruller has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jono Markaban.

Markaban is looking to get back to his feet here but Cruller is keeping cool and he's managed to take Markaban's back.

Cruller is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
Cruller's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

French Cruller overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Cruller controlling the position well here. Markaban rolled but Cruller kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Cruller is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Markaban defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Markaban is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

Markaban is having to fend off submission attempts from Cruller, who is looking to sink in the choke. Cruller doesn't have the hooks in though and Markaban manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Cruller is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

And that's the end of the fight!
French Cruller showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cruller, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
