Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrejs Medvedevs (ranked 23422 p4p, 6250 weight class) and Deacon Sherman (ranked 580 p4p, 527 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Sherman's choice of entrance music: Never Gonna Give You Up. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Radbod Blank and Saam Ante.

Medvedevs closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Medvedevs has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Sherman avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Medvedevs tries a knee to the head but Sherman blocks it.
Medvedevs manages to break the clinch.
Medvedevs tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sherman sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Medvedevs somewhat.
Medvedevs fails to land the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andrejs Medvedevs. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sherman throws a sloppy head kick and Medvedevs moves out of range easily.
Sherman stuffs the takedown attempt from Medvedevs. Medvedevs gets slowly back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Sherman.
Medvedevs is breathing heavily.
Medvedevs dodges the punch combination from Sherman.
Sherman lands a lovely overhand right.

Sherman scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Sherman shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Medvedevs takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Sherman sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Medvedevs bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Deacon Sherman!
A relieved looking Deacon Sherman thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
