Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Peanut Butter Pie (ranked 4252 p4p, 4412 weight class) and Strawberry Short Cake (ranked 199 p4p, 203 weight class). Peanut Butter Pie has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Peanut Butter Pie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Strawberry Short Cake! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Dean Styles and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pie fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Short Cake to the ground. Pie is now in Short Cake's guard. Pie preventing the sweep. Short Cake keeping moving, preventing Pie from controlling successfully. Pie slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Short Cake seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Short Cake is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Pie postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Short Cake is on top in guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Short Cake pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Pie is keeping the position for now. Short Cake with a flurry of punches that miss. Short Cake has gone for a leg lock! Pie slips out almost immediately though and dives into Short Cake's guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Short Cake preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Pie is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Short Cake is looking for a triangle but Pie pushes his legs off easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pie looking to pass the guard. Short Cake wants to sweep but no luck. Pie trying to control the position from guard on top but Short Cake is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Short Cake controlling the position. Pie controlling from the top position.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Pie tries to score a power double leg takedown but Short Cake sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pie somewhat. Short Cake tries to counter by closing the distance. Pie throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Short Cake tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Pie is in Short Cake's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pie tries to free his leg and advance position but Short Cake is retaining full guard. Pie is looking to work some ground and pound but Short Cake has wrist control. Short Cake working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Pie. Short Cake wants to get back to his feet but Pie passes into half guard.
Short Cake is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Pie's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Pie's back! Short Cake slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Pie tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Short Cake dominating with strikes here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Peanut Butter Pie will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Pie looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Short Cake is fending him off so far but Pie persists. Nope, Short Cake circles away and we're back to standing. Short Cake is looking for the big counter here. The fighters circling - Short Cake throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Short Cake tries to clinch but Pie moves away and Pie counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pie wants to control but Short Cake is keeping him busy. Pie is looking for a kimura here.
Pie has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Pie blocks Short Cake's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Short Cake blocking the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pie looking to secure an arm triangle but Short Cake defends it well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Short Cake wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Pie.
Pie trying to control but he's not successful this time. Pie is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Short Cake has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Short Cake! Short Cake content to stall in guard here. Short Cake pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Pie is keeping the position for now.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Short Cake is fighting to break Pie's control of his arms but Pie is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Short Cake loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Short Cake wants to control from the top but Pie keeps moving. Short Cake tries to free his leg and advance position but Pie is retaining full guard.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Strawberry Short Cake is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Short Cake swings away with a body shot that misses
and Pie counters with a shoot takedown. Short Cake fights it but they end up in guard. Pie trying to control but Short Cake is working from the bottom. Short Cake had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Pie defends it easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Short Cake trying to keep a closed guard but Pie is proving a slippery customer.
Short Cake is looking to stand up but Pie isn't so interested in that idea. Pie throws a big elbow that misses. Short Cake is trying to keep Pie in close.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Short Cake lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Pie looking for a sweep. Not yet Pie, not yet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Peanut Butter Pie will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round! Pie keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Short Cake stuffs the takedown. Short Cake throws a right and a left that Pie avoids nicely. Short Cake fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Pie attempts a counter takedown but Short Cake avoids it well and moves away. Pie closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Pie throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Short Cake is not content to let Pie control the position. Pie is working for a submission of some sort.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Short Cake is defending against the submission attempts here by Pie.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Short Cake is looking for a sweep. Pie is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Pie trying to control from half guard but Short Cake is working away. Pie is thwarting Short Cake's attempts to control the position. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Peanut Butter Pie overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Short Cake changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Pie looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Pie is trying to get back to half guard. Short Cake tries to score with some ground and pound. Pie controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Short Cake is looking to take a break and control but Pie is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pie trying to remain calm as Short Cake controls from the top position. Short Cake tries for a kimura but Pie is defending well. Short Cake lands a decent elbow from side control. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Pie gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Short Cake looking for a guillotine from mount but Pie is having none of it.
And that's the end of the fight! Strawberry Short Cake comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Pie has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
