Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Charlie Hall!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shabazz walks into a left hand.
Shabazz scores with a kick to the midsection.
Hall avoids the head kick by Shabazz.
Charlie Hall seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hall connects with a body shot that sends Shabazz's belly button to the back.
A big right from Hall misses.
Shabazz avoids a punch combination nicely.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Hall is trying to break the clinch but Shabazz is controlling him.
Shabazz tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Shabazz pushes Hall back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

Hall's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Hall moves forwards but Shabazz connects with a nice, crisp jab.

It looks like Charlie Hall has been cut.

Shabazz looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hall misses with a lunging right hand
and Shabazz cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Shabazz uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hall.
A cross from Shabazz lands.

Hall ducks straight into an uppercut from Shabazz and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Hall manages to regain guard straight away.

That has opened up Charlie Hall's cut even more.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hall keeping moving, preventing Shabazz from controlling successfully.

Shabazz is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Shabazz drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Hall dives on top into guard.

Shabazz looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hall is one step ahead there.
Hall with a flurry of punches that miss.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Hall's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Shabazz seems keen to control Hall's posture.
Hall is looking to stand up but Shabazz won't let him.
Shabazz wants to sweep but no luck.
Hall would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Shabazz blocks a jab.

Shabazz uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hall.
Hall throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Shabazz throwing a counter right hand but Hall manages to avoid it.
Hall throws an off balance right hand
and Shabazz counters with a straight right hand.

The cut above Charlie Hall's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Shabazz throws a looping overhand right but Hall ducks down to avoid it.
Hall buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Hall stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Shabazz.
Hall misses with an uppercut
and Shabazz cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Hall works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Hall closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Hall throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
It looked like Shabazz wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Hall sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A punch combination from Shabazz misses.
Hall avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Hall moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Charlie Hall's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Shabazz scores with a nice strike.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Charlie Hall's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Rahim Shabazz!
Rahim Shabazz is the new heavyweight champion!
An out of breath and clearly excited Rahim Shabazz thanked SynCity Fightwear for their help and support (and free stuff they sent him).
