Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Project Cd (ranked 25081 p4p, 4834 weight class) and Guy Leblond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Project Cd! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Guy Leblond! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Elvis Blanc and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cd with a nice cross. Leblond misses with a head kick.
Cd attempts a counter takedown but Leblond avoids it well and moves away. Cd throws a nice inside leg kick. Leblond throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Cd tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Leblond is in Cd's guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Cd can't keep his opponent in guard - Leblond advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Leblond not doing much here.
Leblond tries to pass the half guard into mount. Cd knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Leblond slows the pace down in half guard. Cd trying to hold on to Leblond's head to control him but Leblond postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Leblond is figuring out what he wants to do next. Cd is trying to maintain the position but Leblond is very close to passing his half guard. Leblond is looking to pass Cd's guard but actually Cd recovers to full guard. Cd manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Leblond manages to get himself to full guard.
Cd slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Leblond has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Cd has passed into side control.
Leblond sneaks back into half guard. Cd trying to control the action but Leblond is working from the bottom. Leblond moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Cd trying to control but Leblond is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Leblond trying to control the position here. Let's hope that Leblond has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Cd in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Leblond utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Cd swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Leblond. Cd connects with the punch. Cd throws a leg kick which misses Leblond's front leg but catches the back leg as Leblond tries to avoid it. Project Cd seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Leblond shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Cd napping and manages to drive through into side control! Leblond controls the position. Leblond's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Leblond advances to full mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Project Cd will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! No luck for Cd with that takedown attempt. Leblond is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Nice uppercut lands for Cd. That snapped Leblond's head back.
Cd connects with a single shot there. Leblond on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Leblond misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Leblond steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Cd. That one must have hurt. Cd connects with a crisp jab. Leblond throws a sloppy head kick and Cd moves out of range easily. Leblond shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Cd keeping moving, preventing Leblond from controlling successfully. Leblond slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cd looking for a sweep. Not yet Cd, not yet. Leblond controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Cd looking to hit a scissor sweep but Leblond is one step ahead there. Guy Leblond has got the better of the ground game so far. Leblond trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Leblond not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Cd looking to control.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Cd is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Leblond gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Cd. Leblond changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cd looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Leblond looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Leblond is looking to take a break and control but Cd is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Leblond controls the position. Leblond goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Cd rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Leblond's guard! Nice work there by Cd!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cd is in close to Leblond's body, working some short punches and elbows. Cd wants to control from the top but Leblond keeps moving. Leblond is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Cd is looking to advance position but Leblond has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cd tries to lock up and control but Leblond gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Leblond sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Leblond with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.
Cd is desperately trying to improve his position but Leblond has a good base and remains in mount. Leblond controlling the pace for now. Cd has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Cd can't escape the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Project Cd will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round! Leblond takes a jab right on the kisser.
Project Cd is winning the standup battle so far. Leblond throws a body shot but no joy. Leblond takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Cd scores with a nice strike. Leblond takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Cd throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Cd lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Good work by Cd as he checks the leg kick. A slapping body kick lands there for Cd. It looks like Cd has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him. Leblond doesn't manage to clinch there - Cd circles away.
Cd with a nice calf kick. Leblond chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Cd can pounce on him.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Leblond takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Leblond fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Cd sprawls well initially but Leblond persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Cd regains full guard. Nicely done.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cd manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Leblond manages to get himself to full guard.
Cd trying to control the position from guard on top but Leblond is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Leblond seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Leblond utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Leblond looking to hit a scissor sweep but Cd is one step ahead there. Cd slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Project Cd is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Leblond manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Cd is trying to control. Leblond wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Leblond is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Leblond wants to control but Cd is keeping busy.
Leblond is concentrating on defense, preventing Cd from advancing position. Leblond gets full guard. Cd with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cd wants to control from the top but Leblond keeps moving. Cd lands a couple of digs. Leblond looking for a sweep. Not yet Leblond, not yet. Cd keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Leblond's head. Cd advances to half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Leblond manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Leblond keeping full guard, as Cd tries to pass. Cd trying to control but Leblond is working from the bottom.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Cd takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Cd is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Leblond can do to turn this around?
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cd changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Leblond tries to avoid it but Cd manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Leblond to the ground. Leblond escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Leblond gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Cd is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Leblond can't fight it off and eventually Cd manages to take the fight to the floor. Leblond looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Leblond holds on and takes a little breather. Leblond tries to land a sweep but no joy. Leblond looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Cd trying to control but Leblond is working from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Project Cd showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cd, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
