The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reilly is looking to chop away at Knight's legs. Knight checks a leg kick nicely. Reilly tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Knight paws at him with a jab and circles away. Reilly stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Knight. Knight fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Reilly throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Nice body kick there by Reilly. Reilly missing with a left hand there. Knight was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Reilly throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Knight swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Reilly tries to clinch but Knight moves out of range. An inside leg kick from Reilly misses. Knight shoots in and drives through. Reilly sprawls well. Knight throws a sloppy head kick and Reilly moves out of range easily. Knight looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Reilly avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reilly trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Reilly trying to control the position here. Knight wants to pass the guard but Reilly is keeping the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Knight being controlled here momentarily. Knight in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Reilly trying to keep a closed guard but Knight is proving a slippery customer.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Knight tries for a takedown but Reilly sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Ignatius Reilly has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of michael Knight. Knight looks gassed! Reilly tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Knight paws at him with a jab and circles away. Reilly is pressed up against the cage. Knight has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Reilly down to the mat. Reilly avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Reilly has closed the distance and engaged Knight in a clinch.

Reilly comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Reilly gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Reilly throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Knight has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Reilly clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Knight lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Knight lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Reilly.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Knight is trying to control but Reilly is trying to escape here - he's now mounted.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Reilly is working to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A telegraphed right hand from Reilly misses the target. A clash of legs there as Knight blocks the low kick. Reilly closes the distance looking to clinch and Knight counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Reilly's guard now. Knight tries to free his leg and advance position but Reilly is retaining full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Knight looking to sit in guard and control but Reilly gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Knight wants to improve his position but instead Reilly has moved into half guard.

A close second round but michael Knight will probably get the nod - 10:9. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Reilly feints and then cracks Knight's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Knight down. Knight wants to clinch up but Reilly keeps it at a distance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Reilly tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Knight decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Reilly's guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Knight in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Reilly throws a body kick that misses. Reilly darts in trying to clinch and Knight counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Knight stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Reilly swivels though and keeps the full guard. Reilly pushes Knight off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Reilly clinches up with Knight and pushes him back against the cage. Knight takes an elbow to the forehead.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Knight jumps guard but Reilly stands there with Knight around his waist. Knight gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Reilly scores with a head kick.
It looks like michael Knight has been cut. Reilly tries to clinch but Knight moves out of range. Knight throws a head kick that misses and Reilly connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Knight on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Reilly. Reilly obviously looking to wear him down.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ignatius Reilly. I think Reilly has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
