Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Daizen Kuroda (ranked 4667 p4p, 4881 weight class) and Jarlaxle Baenre (ranked 491 p4p, 502 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Daizen Kuroda! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jarlaxle Baenre! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Elvis Blanc and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baenre closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Baenre pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Baenre looks to score with a jab to the body but Kuroda is just out of range. Baenre looking to score a takedown here. Kuroda is defending well but Baenre drives through and ends up in Kuroda's guard. Kuroda looking for a guillotine here but Baenre defends easily.
Kuroda throws his legs up looking for a submission but Baenre uses it to pass to side control.
Kuroda tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Baenre wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Baenre working away. Kuroda tries to improve position but can't. Kuroda tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Baenre easily slips into full mount! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kuroda wants to control but Baenre is having none of it. Baenre is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Kuroda has managed to escape the submission attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kuroda gets back to half guard. Kuroda looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Kuroda is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Baenre pulls his head out easily. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Baenre controlling the pace. Kuroda looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Baenre missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Kuroda is pressing down on Baenre's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Kuroda keeping moving, preventing Baenre from controlling successfully. Kuroda working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Baenre doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Baenre manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kuroda escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Baenre gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Baenre stays in close to Kuroda's body and controls the position. Kuroda working for a triangle but Baenre defends it easily.
Kuroda is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Baenre defends well. Kuroda throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Baenre trying to control but Kuroda is working from the bottom. Baenre must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kuroda has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Baenre is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Kuroda. Kuroda is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Baenre off and has taken his back! Kuroda is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Baenre knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Baenre for a finish. Baenre defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Kuroda's arms. Baenre really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kuroda. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Baenre trying to control the position but Kuroda manages to sink in the hooks. Baenre is having to fend off submission attempts from Kuroda, who is looking to sink in the choke. Kuroda doesn't have the hooks in though and Baenre manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard. Kuroda trying to keep a closed guard but Baenre is proving a slippery customer.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Baenre is sitting in close to Kuroda's body. Kuroda has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Baenre is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Baenre is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Kuroda.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Daizen Kuroda! In his post fight interview, Daizen Kuroda started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
