PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hiro Fang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Big Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Taro Takaoka and Yasuomi Hirokawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big left from Fang misses.

Fang connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Black momentarily.
Black has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Fang cracks Black with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Fang uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Black has time to react.
Fang scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Black doesn't seem bothered though.
Black throws a right and a left that Fang avoids nicely.
Donk. Fang catches Black right on the button with a cross.
Fang dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Black is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Black shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Fang defends it nicely.

Fang fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Fang swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Black.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Fang is looking to work some ground and pound but Black has wrist control.

Fang got a little sloppy there for a moment and Black has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Fang has managed to get both his arms back between Black's legs - danger averted.

Black is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Fang wants to get up but he can't break Black's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Fang is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Black takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Black walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

No joy there for Black, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Fang works over Black's head and body with a nice combination.
Fang is working the combinations to good effect here.
Black drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Black has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Black there as he acknowledges the shot.

Black has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.

Fang throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Fang drops Black with a right and a left! Fang comes rushing in but Black regains his composure and manages to keep Fang in guard.
Black is still in real trouble! Can Fang finish him?

Fang will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Black is on top in guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Fang is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Black defends well.

Black changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Fang looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Fang on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Fang tries to get out of the position.
Fang is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Black is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Fang is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Black seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Fang is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
