The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Klinsmann closes the distance and clinches up with Tilman, looking for a takedown. Klinsmann pushes Tilman against the cage but Tilman circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Tilman swings for the body but Klinsmann moves out of range.

Tilman is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Klinsmann has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Tilman is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Klinsmann.
