Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kinho Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quinton Johnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Santos comes to the cage accompanied by Chapa C - lloraras por mi. Johnes has chosen Burnt (Feat. Lindo P) as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kinho Santos! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Quinton Johnes! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Daniel Cesar and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnes misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Santos closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Johnes tries to buck Santos off but Santos is having none of it. Santos is looking to take a break and control but Johnes is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Johnes stops Santos from passing to mount. Johnes really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Santos. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Santos works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Johnes is not content to let Santos control the position. Santos decides to stand back up. Santos steps back and let's Johnes get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnes tries to close the distance and clinch up but Santos swats him away and circles back towards the center. Santos avoids the head kick by Johnes.
Santos tries to clinch but Johnes moves out of range. Santos scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Santos seems to be looking for submissions.

Santos not landing any meaningful shots this time. Santos is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Johnes has managed to free his arm - good work. Santos is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Johnes doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Santos. Santos is breathing heavily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Santos wants to control from the top but Johnes keeps moving. Santos drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Johnes manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Santos has Johnes in his guard. Johnes is stalling in the full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Santos has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Johnes is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Santos. Johnes lands a decent elbow from side control. Santos tries to get back to half guard but can't. Johnes lands an elbow. Santos is looking to regain half guard here but Johnes keeps moving and retains side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Johnes works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Johnes scoring with punches and elbows. Johnes lands a few punches from side control. Johnes gets to mount! Santos was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Santos tries to reverse the position but Johnes maintains control. Johnes is working for a guillotine from mount but Santos frees his head quite easily.

Santos shoots in and bounces Johnes off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Johnes is looking to stand up but Santos isn't so interested in that idea. Johnes is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. Santos is pushing down on Johnes's leg trying to pass to half guard. Johnes is fighting to maintain full guard but Santos has managed to sneak the leg through. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Johnes is trying to stand back up but Santos is controlling him

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Johnes is trying to get back to full guard. Santos is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Johnes sees it coming and defends easily. Johnes is trying to stand up here but Santos is controlling him well.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Johnes clinches but Santos breaks the clinch and Santos counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Johnes! Santos fails to advance to Johnes's back. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Santos working away from the top, dropping strikes. Santos trying to control but Johnes is having none of it. Johnes is desperately trying to improve his position but Santos has a good base and remains in mount. Santos with the ground and pound from mount. Johnes working to try and regain half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Johnes bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Santos is trying to control the position but Johnes postures up. Santos looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Kinho Santos overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Santos is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Santos keeping full guard, as Johnes tries to pass. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kinho Santos dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Santos tries for a takedown but Johnes circles away easily and Johnes counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Santos can't keep his opponent in guard - Johnes advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Santos gets full guard. Johnes trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Santos throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Santos looking for a sweep. Not yet Santos, not yet. Johnes throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Johnes makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Johnes controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Johnes won't allow Santos to sweep him here. Johnes must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Johnes wants to control from the top but Santos keeps moving. Johnes pushes down on Santos's leg and manages to get into half guard. Santos might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Santos is trying to maintain the position but Johnes is very close to passing his half guard. Santos is looking to improve his position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Johnes shoots and misses and Santos counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Johnes! Santos controlling from the full mount. Santos breaks from Johnes's wrist control and lands an elbow. Johnes can't escape the position.
Santos postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Johnes looks a forlorn figure.
Johnes wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Johnes is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Johnes grimaces as he takes a shot to the body. Santos has the hooks in. Johnes is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Johnes defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Santos just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Santos stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Johnes swivels though and keeps the full guard. Johnes is trying to control the position but Santos postures up. Quinton Johnes dominated that fourth round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt. Johnes pushes Santos off looking to stand but Santos dives back in and keeps control.

Santos throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Johnes regains full guard. Nicely done. Santos stands up over Johnes, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Santos drops back, looking for a kneebar! Johnes looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Johnes looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Johnes! Santos regains half guard.

And that's the end of the fight! Quinton Johnes comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Johnes has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
