Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stefan Andersson (ranked 5856 p4p, 242 weight class) and John Ishmael (ranked 0 p4p, 40 weight class). John Ishmael will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Stefan Andersson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, John Ishmael! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Santiago Holmes and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ishmael connects with a single shot there.
It looks like Stefan Andersson has been cut. Andersson feints and as Ishmael raises his hands in defense, Andersson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Ishmael is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Andersson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Ishmael is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Andersson is controlling him. Andersson definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ishmael can do anything to dispel that myth. Andersson lands a couple of digs. Andersson is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Andersson stops Ishmael from standing up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Andersson landing some decent shots from guard. Ishmael is looking to stand up but Andersson isn't so interested in that idea. Andersson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's one minute gone in the round. Andersson tries to free his leg and advance position but Ishmael is retaining full guard. Andersson throws a big right hand that misses. Ishmael is looking to stand up but Andersson isn't so interested in that idea. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Ishmael's corner calls for a 1-2. Ishmael obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Andersson takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Jab, jab by Ishmael - just one landing. Ishmael lands with an uppercut that bounces Andersson off the cage and back into range. Ishmael feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Andersson sprawling to the canvas! Andersson rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Ishmael finish him?!
Andersson is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Andersson switches off momentarily and Ishmael cracks him with a monster right hand! Andersson topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Ishmael dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Ishmael!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). John Ishmael! An out of breath John Ishmael thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
