Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve Broadbent (ranked 2978 p4p, 2160 weight class) and Kali Turner (ranked 396 p4p, 288 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Steve Broadbent!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kali Turner!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Dirk Anderson and Peter Branson.

Turner blocks a jab.
Broadbent loads up on a big right hand but Turner slips the punch.
We've been hearing reports that Broadbent has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Broadbent seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Turner does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Turner felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Turner really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Broadbent. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Broadbent looks up at the clock and then as Turner takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Broadbent smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Broadbent is stalling here. Turner is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Broadbent seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Turner has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Broadbent manages to work his way to half guard, despite Turner's best efforts.

Broadbent has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Turner must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Broadbent looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Turner is defending well. Broadbent quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Turner has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Broadbent celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

After winning the bout, Steve Broadbent thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
