Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Viktor Brandt (ranked 3151 p4p, 1577 weight class) and Jean Lucroy (ranked 412 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Winston Alpacca and Michael Johnstone.

Brandt tries a head kick but it misses.
Brandt has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Island Training Centre in the buildup to the fight.
Brandt closes the distance looking to clinch
and Lucroy counters with a nice double leg into guard.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Lucroy working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Lucroy is stalling in the full guard.
Brandt will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Brandt is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Lucroy is working Brandt over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Brandt has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Brandt had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Lucroy defends it easily.
Lucroy cracks Brandt with a solid left hand.
Brandt wants to hit a sweep here but Lucroy passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Brandt there!
Brandt prevents any damage by holding on tight.

Brandt is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Lucroy lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Brandt wants to hold on but Lucroy pushes him away.
Brandt is squirming around, avoiding Lucroy's attempts to control the action.
Lucroy lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
It looks like Viktor Brandt has been cut.
A nice elbow there by Lucroy.

Lucroy lands a big shot there that rocks Brandt but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Lucroy connects with a bit shot that sees Brandt covering up! More strikes from Lucroy and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Lucroy is our winner by TKO!
