Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Marco Marin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Billy Bob! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, William Gold and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marin closes the distance and pushes Bob back into the cage. Marin turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Marin manages to end up in side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. You can see the frustration on Bob's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Marin controls the position from side control. Bob is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Marin has just dragged him back down to the mat. Bob struggling a bit here. Bob tries to escape but Marin is in control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Marin taking a breather here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bob is looking for a sweep. Marin scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Bob to see if he's OK. Marin cracks Bob with a big right hand but Bob just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Bob is pushing Marin's head away, looking to escape. Marin manages to hold on to the position though. Marin throwing shots but missing, from side control. Marin advances to mount. Marin controlling his opponent. Bob defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Marin.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bob is desperately trying to improve his position but Marin has a good base and remains in mount. Bob is trying to stand up. Marin looking to control and managing it successfully. Bob wants to try and get back to his feet. Marin looking to finish Bob with some ground and pound. This is bad for Bob! Marin quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Marin but it's paid off an Bob is forced to tap! Nice work by Marin.
