Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Griffin Turez (ranked 4768 p4p, 4592 weight class) and Driton Navuluri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Griffin Turez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Driton Navuluri!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Elvis Blanc and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Turez throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Despite the aggression on Navuluri's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Turez gets caught flat footed, as Navuluri shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Turez is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Navuluri dives into side control.

Turez is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Navuluri has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Navuluri lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Navuluri trying to control the action but Turez is working from the bottom.
Navuluri has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Navuluri in side control, just content to control the action for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Turez is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Navuluri is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Turez will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
It looks like Navuluri might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Navuluri tries to get to his feet but Turez is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Navuluri in his guard.
Navuluri wants to control from the top but Turez keeps moving.

Turez utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Navuluri gets to his feet. Turez looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Turez misses with a low kick.
Turez throws out a leg kick but Navuluri moves out of range and Turez only half commits.

Navuluri closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Navuluri misses with an elbow strike.
Turez lands with a short shot to the head.
A short body shot lands from Turez as the two fighters clinch.
Navuluri prevents a body shot from Turez.
A nice right hand lands inside from Turez.
Turez works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Turez wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Turez pushes Navuluri back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Navuluri looks winded!
Navuluri keeps control of Turez as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Turez lands with a short shot to the head.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Navuluri jumps guard but Turez turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Navuluri takes a shot to the head.
A nice right hand lands inside from Turez.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Turez lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Turez pushes Navuluri back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Navuluri tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Turez smiles and moves away.
A shot to the liver by Turez. Beautiful body shot.
Turez lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Turez sends Navuluri crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Turez is motioning to the referee to let Navuluri up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Navuluri is rocked!

It looks like Driton Navuluri has been cut.
Turez throws an uppercut from hell that sends Navuluri clean off his feet! He's out cold! Turez stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Griffin Turez!
