Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Landry Stephenson (ranked 4634 p4p, 5603 weight class) and Jason Killings (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jason Killings was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jason Killings !

Stephenson closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Killings quickly recovers to half guard.

Killings is trying to maintain the position but Stephenson is very close to passing his half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Stephenson is working for a submission of some sort.
Killings wants to control but Stephenson is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Stephenson wants to free his trapped foot but Killings is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Killings is not content to let Stephenson control the position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Killings misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Stephenson tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Killings manages to circle out of the way.

Killings doesn't manage to clinch there - Stephenson circles away.

Stephenson wants to control the pace but Killings is squirming around nicely.

Killings tries to hold on but Stephenson postures up.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Stephenson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Stephenson looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Stephenson avoids the attempt from Killings to control.
Killings is looking to get to half guard.
Stephenson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Killings can do to turn this around?

Stephenson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Killings keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stephenson throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Killings because Stephenson loaded up on that one.

Killings really wants to buck Stephenson off and get back to his feet.

Landry Stephenson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Stephenson working for a submission but Killings is keeping him at bay.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Stephenson shoots in for a takedown but Killings shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Killings goes for a double leg but Stephenson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Stephenson continues to drive forward.

Stephenson tries to pull guard but Killings holds him up against the cage and eventually Stephenson drops back down to his feet.
Stephenson is trying to drag Killings to the mat but Killings just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Landry Stephenson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Killings makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Stephenson drives through with a takedown into Killings 's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Killings pushes Stephenson off and gets back to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Stephenson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Killings looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
You can see the frustration on Killings 's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Stephenson is working to tighten his grip on Killings 's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Killings has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Stephenson is really squeezing tight and eventually Killings passes out! Stephenson breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
