Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rafael Reynoso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Stokes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rafael Reynoso! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brandon Stokes! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Reed Andrews and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reynoso shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Reynoso lands a nice shot to the head. Reynoso punishing his opponent with strikes. Reynoso with a couple of short strikes. Reynoso punishing his opponent with strikes. Stokes can't escape the position.
Reynoso has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Reynoso with good strikes from the mount here! Reynoso controlling from mount. Reynoso can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Stokes is looking to escape. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Reynoso has control of Stokes's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Stokes regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Reynoso punishing his opponent with strikes. Stokes holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Reynoso tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Stokes trying to control but Reynoso is working from the bottom. Stokes gets to his feet. Reynoso looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Reynoso turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Stokes tries to clinch but Reynoso is having none of it. Reynoso has a takedown stuffed. Stokes wants to clinch. Stokes tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Reynoso paws at him with a jab and circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reynoso lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Reynoso. Stokes tries to close the distance and clinch but Reynoso swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Reynoso tries to clinch but Stokes moves away and Stokes counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Stokes. Reynoso tries to stall but Stokes uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

That was a close round but I would say that Rafael Reynoso will probably get the nod. That's time! Reynoso's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Stokes wants to stand and escape but Reynoso is having none of it. Reynoso drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Stokes dives on top into guard. Reynoso wants to sweep but no luck. Stokes must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stokes slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Reynoso is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Reynoso trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Reynoso keeping moving, preventing Stokes from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Reynoso avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Stokes gets in close and instigates a clinch. A nice right hand lands inside from Reynoso. Reynoso works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Stokes is trying to maintain a safe position but Reynoso gets an underhook and turns Stokes into the cage. Reynoso swings wildly with an uppercut but Stokes uses good head movement to avoid it. Stokes tries to clinch but fails miserably and Reynoso counters with a slapping leg kick. Reynoso throws a right hand that Stokes ducks under and follows up with a left that Stokes also avoids with ease. Nice uppercut lands for Reynoso. That snapped Stokes's head back.
