Barrett bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Faire's head backwards.
Faire gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Faire takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Faire closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Faire is trying to get an arm triangle but Barrett is defending well.

Barrett's coaches at Cozad The Island have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.

Faire is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Barrett knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Barrett for a finish.

Well, with Faire on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Barrett is tapping out... Can he escape the position?
Barrett just trying to survive but Faire is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Faire is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Barrett has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Faire has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Barrett taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Faire doesn't care though - he's delighted!
