Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Stamboli (ranked 4207 p4p, 5478 weight class) and Dirk Stuckey (ranked 439 p4p, 492 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Stamboli fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Stamboli drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Stamboli tries to get to his feet but Stuckey is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Stamboli in his guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Stamboli stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stuckey swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Stamboli is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Stuckey has his feet on Stamboli's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Stamboli shoots in for a takedown but Stuckey shows good takedown defense.

Stamboli changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Stuckey tries to avoid it but Stamboli manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Stuckey to the ground. Stuckey escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Stuckey throws out a counter right but Stamboli avoids it with no problem.

Stamboli will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Stamboli takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Stuckey is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Stamboli had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Stamboli throws the left hand but Stuckey avoids the punch easily.

Stuckey's jab looks to have found its range, popping Stamboli under the eye.
Stuckey moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Stuckey uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Stamboli has time to react.

Stuckey drops Stamboli with a straight right hand, right on the button! Stuckey follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
