Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Stan Shamrock (ranked 590 p4p, 358 weight class) and Jarna Kuiva (ranked 82 p4p, 55 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Shamrock throws a lazy uppercut
and Kuiva counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Kuiva dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Shamrock gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Shamrock tries to pull guard but Kuiva forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Shamrock ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Shamrock no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Shamrock isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Kuiva stacks Shamrock on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Kuiva!

Shamrock has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Kuiva escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Kuiva!
