Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between DeAngelo Spite (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matthew McPain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spite's entrance music is "Here Comes The Boom" - Nelly. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, DeAngelo Spite!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Matthew McPain!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McPain throws a series of punches but Spite avoids them all with ease.
McPain takes one on the button.
Nice cross by Spite.
McPain closes this distance looking for a takedown but Spite circles away.
Spite ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Spite stalks McPain and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into McPain's face. McPain staggers backwards, shaken.
Spite misses with a leg kick.
Spite lands a nice shot to the body.
McPain closes the distance and clinches up with Spite, looking for a takedown. McPain pushes Spite against the cage but Spite circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
McPain doesn't manage to clinch there - Spite circles away.
McPain tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
McPain avoids a punch combination nicely.
McPain tries to clinch up.
Spite lands a with a good body shot.
McPain looks gassed!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A jab from Spite finds it's way through McPain's defenses.
McPain throws a head kick but Spite moves out of range.
Nice shot lands for Spite.
Spite keeps the fight on the outside.
McPain on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Spite swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and McPain counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Spite's guard now.
Spite wants to stand but McPain is controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round.

McPain won't allow Spite to get back to his feet.
McPain trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Spite working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from McPain.
McPain stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Spite swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Spite cracks McPain with a good jab.
Spite dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
McPain falls off balance throwing a combination
and Spite counters with a two punch combo.

Spite closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Spite connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed McPain momentarily.
Spite displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
McPain tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Spite swivels and escapes.
DeAngelo Spite has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matthew McPain.
Spite goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Spite uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
McPain is rocked!
Spite's corner calls for a 1-2. Spite obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
McPain is still on wobbly legs! Can Spite finish him?
Spite lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - McPain can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Spite and McPain drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Spite.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). DeAngelo Spite!
