Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 9 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Kevin Brockington! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, James O Hara! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paulsen Ambrosius and Saam Ante.

Brockington is looking for a kimura but O Hara is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Brockington to get the leverage. Brockington works his foot free and advances to mount. Brockington working for a submission but O Hara is keeping him at bay. O Hara is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
O Hara is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Brockington wants to control the pace but O Hara is squirming around nicely. Brockington controlling his opponent.

Brockington is going oldschool here, as he tries to force O Hara to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so O Hara shrugs it off. Brockington controlling his opponent. Brockington cracks O Hara with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Brockington tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Brockington looking to control but O Hara is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Brockington jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but O Hara manages to avoid the submission attempt. Brockington has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for O Hara! O Hara tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Brockington wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Brockington prevents O Hara from improving his position. Brockington trying to mount his opponent but O Hara defends it. O Hara makes his way to full guard. A much better position for O Hara. That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Brockington got a little sloppy there for a moment and O Hara has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Brockington has managed to get both his arms back between O Hara's legs - danger averted. Brockington slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Brockington wants to control from the top but O Hara keeps moving. Brockington throws a big right hand that misses. O Hara trying to keep a closed guard but Brockington is proving a slippery customer.
O Hara is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brockington wants to pass the guard but O Hara is keeping the position. Brockington stands up and waves to O Hara to follow him. O Hara throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Brockington. Brockington looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. O Hara tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Brockington half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. O Hara throws a body punch but Brockington moves out of range. Kevin Brockington is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Brockington avoids the head kick by O Hara.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brockington shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. O Hara is trying to defend but Brockington finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Brockington wants to pass the guard but O Hara is defending well. Brockington uses his free foot to push down on O Hara's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for O Hara. Brockington is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But O Hara has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from O Hara! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Brockington tries to free his leg and advance position but O Hara is retaining full guard. Brockington sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed O Hara's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ground and pound from Brockington. Brockington wants to take a breather but O Hara is having none of it. O Hara is defending against the submission attempts here by Brockington.
