Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Uriah Chin (ranked 1647 p4p, 721 weight class) and Robert Grandis (ranked 92 p4p, 46 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Uriah Chin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Robert Grandis!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Glass and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chin tries to clinch there but Grandis circles away.
Chin tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Grandis is able to avoid easily.
Chin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Grandis paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Grandis steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Chin.
Chin takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Grandis just misses with a punch to the body.
Grandis goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Chin keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Chin is looking to counter the offense by Grandis and move into the clinch.
Grandis moves out of range as Chin strikes.
Grandis has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Chin shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Grandis manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Chin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Grandis swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chin pushes down on Grandis's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Chin is trying to control. Grandis wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Grandis wants to control but Chin is keeping busy.
Grandis is trying to get back to full guard.
Chin content to control rather than advance.
Chin is pressing down on Grandis's thigh, looking to free his foot. Grandis is holding on for now.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Chin looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Chin is trying to control. Grandis wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Chin is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Grandis reverses the position - he's now on top in Chin's guard.

Chin is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Chin throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Chin trying to control the action but Grandis is working from the bottom.
Grandis is looking to reverse the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Chin sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Grandis is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Grandis avoiding damage as Chin throws knees to the body.
Grandis misses with a hook from the clinch.
Chin wants a takedown.
Grandis pushes Chin back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Chin misses with a knee to the head.

Chin blocks an uppercut.
Grandis scores with a shot to the side of Chin's head.
Grandis lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Chin backwards.

Nice body punch from Grandis - that landed with a thud.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Grandis.
Grandis digs a right hand underneath Chin's ribcage. Chin let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Chin has Grandis pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Grandis manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
A nice right hand lands inside from Grandis.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Grandis blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Grandis throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Chins head.
A right hook to the body lands for Grandis.

Grandis scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Grandis stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Chin missing with knees to the body.

Grandis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Grandis scores with a sloppy right hand. Chin should have avoided that one.

Chin is rocked!
Grandis lands a jab to Chin's midsection.
Oh Chin is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Chin gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Grandis gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Chin is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Robert Grandis!
