The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pereira throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Rancher misses with a takedown attempt - Pereira sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Rancher closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Pereira is looking for a sweep. Rancher is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Rancher wants to take a breather but Pereira is having none of it.
Rancher is working for a kimura but Pereira is defending it quite comfortably.
Rancher thows a huge punch but Pereira dodges it nicely.

Pereira really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rancher. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Rancher looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Pereira takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Rancher goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Pereira turns into him and now he's in Rancher's guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Rancher throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Pereira is sitting in close to Rancher's body. Rancher has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Pereira is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Pereira is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Rancher.
