Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Villarreal (ranked 3109 p4p, 2671 weight class) and Chase Buchanan (ranked 327 p4p, 294 weight class). Villarreal comes to the cage accompanied by Tupac- I’m a Soldier. On his way into the cage it seems that Carlos Villarreal has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Carlos Villarreal seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Buchanan shoots and misses
and Villarreal counters with a straight right hand.
The fight stays on the outside here - Buchanan looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Buchanan gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
enabling Villarreal to counter with a crisp jab.

Buchanan feints and as Villarreal raises his hands in defense, Buchanan changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

We've been told by Villarreal's head coaches at Yellow Lotus Center of Healing and Meditative Arts that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Buchanan steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Villarreal. That one must have hurt.

and Villarreal counters with a nice right hand that sends Buchanan toppling to the canvas! Buchanan scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Villarreal finish him?!

It looks like Chase Buchanan has been cut.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
No joy there for Villarreal, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Look low, kick high! Villarreal uses the oldest trick in the book to send Buchanan tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Villarreal is absolutely delighted - when Buchanan wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
