Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cornelius Myers (ranked 3139 p4p, 1417 weight class) and Kollaa River (ranked 368 p4p, 171 weight class). River has chosen For Heavy Metal we will die! as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that River has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

River has his foot on Myers's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Myers works his way back into a safe position though.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Cornelius Myers will probably get the nod.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Myers lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and River has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from River and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
