Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jon Hiccup!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Steve Taylor!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Luis Engracia and Paulo Santos.

Hiccup throws a head kick but Taylor moves out of range.
Hiccup throws a nice looking combination but Taylor bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Hiccup looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Hiccup lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Taylor backs up against the cage.

Taylor closes the distance and clinches.

Taylor's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Hiccup lands a nice looking body shot.
Hiccup shoots in but no luck this time.
Taylor has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Taylor there as he acknowledges the shot.
Horrible takedown attempt by Hiccup or perhaps it was just good defense by Taylor, which made it look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jon Hiccup. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Taylor is working for takedown but Hiccup is calmly controlling the position for now.

and Hiccup counters with a series of strikes. Taylor will be more careful next time no doubt.

and Hiccup counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Hiccup lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

It looks like Steve Taylor has been cut.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hiccup looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Taylor misses with a head kick.

Taylor shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Well, if Taylor is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Taylor winds up and cracks Hiccup with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Hiccup wants to improve his position but Taylor is controlling well.

Taylor stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Nice straight punches there by Hiccup. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Hiccup.
Hiccup is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Hiccup buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Taylor looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Hiccup!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hiccup misses with a strike from the bottom.

Hiccup on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hiccup tries to get out of the position.

Taylor is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Hiccup looks calm but he's in trouble here. Taylor gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Hiccup is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Taylor lets go of the hold and Hiccup can pop his arm back in it's socket.
