Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dmitry Kondratuk (ranked 4622 p4p, 4626 weight class) and Goro Yamamoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dmitry Kondratuk! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Goro Yamamoto! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Dean Styles and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yamamoto shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kondratuk as he avoids it easily. Nice takedown defense from Kondratuk. No joy for Yamamoto on that attempt. As Yamamoto tries to get set, Kondratuk tries to push him back and clinch up but Yamamoto manages to avoid the attempt. Yamamoto throws a lazy head kick so Kondratuk counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Yamamoto is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Kondratuk looking to pass the guard. Kondratuk keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Yamamoto's head. Kondratuk throws a big elbow that misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kondratuk's corner is telling him to maintain position. Kondratuk might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Yamamoto preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yamamoto has a closed guard, preventing Kondratuk from standing up. Yamamoto is looking for a triangle here but Kondratuk uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Kondratuk is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Yamamoto is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Kondratuk thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Kondratuk is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Yamamoto knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Kondratuk decides to stand up, so the ref orders Yamamoto to his feet. Kondratuk takes the fight into the clinch. Kondratuk wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Kondratuk is trying to break free.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yamamoto looking for a takedown. Dmitry Kondratuk has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Goro Yamamoto. Yamamoto avoiding damage as Kondratuk throws knees to the body.

Yamamoto is trying to drag Kondratuk to the mat but Kondratuk just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Kondratuk jumps into guard, dragging Yamamoto to the mat.

Kondratuk has Yamamoto pulled in close to control his posture. Kondratuk keeping full guard, as Yamamoto tries to pass.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kondratuk looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Yamamoto is defending well. Kondratuk quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Yamamoto has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Kondratuk celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
