Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Werdum (ranked 3204 p4p, 2207 weight class) and Bruno Santos (ranked 424 p4p, 304 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Anderson Werdum has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Anderson Werdum seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Werdum buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Werdum pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Anderson Werdum seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Werdum throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Santos's head.
Werdum throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Santos stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Werdum.
Santos misses with a takedown attempt
and Werdum makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Santos really felt that one!
Santos tries to clinch but Werdum moves away
and Werdum counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Santos is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Werdum lands a big head kick that sends Santos tumbling to the mat! Werdum takes a step backwards and waves Santos back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Santos is rocked!

It looks like Bruno Santos has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Santos takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Santos is still on wobbly legs! Can Werdum finish him?

Santos seems to have recovered his senses.

Werdum lands with a kick to the ribs.
Santos on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Werdum pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Werdum! Santos is out on his feet! Werdum rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Santos is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Santos is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Anderson Werdum!
Anderson Werdum really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Concrete Clothing (Laundry Re Stock Coming Soon) logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
