Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Heitor Machado (ranked 1994 p4p, 984 weight class) and Bruno Neves (ranked 82 p4p, 34 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 16 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Heitor Machado! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 18 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Bruno Neves! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Sergei Dronov and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Neves cracks Machado with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Machado looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Neves finish him?
It looks like Heitor Machado has been cut. Neves swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Machado moves out of range of the strikes. Jab, jab by Neves - just one landing. Neves misses with a looping left. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Neves has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Machado will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Machado darts in looking for a takedown but Neves gets double underhooks and turns Machado into the cage. Neves throws a shot from downtown. Machado moves away and avoids it. Bruno Neves seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A punch combination from Neves misses. Neves moves into the clinch. Machado wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Neves has him pressed against the cage. Machado wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. A nice left hand lands by Neves.
Neves manages to break the clinch.
Machado looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Machado darts in looking for a takedown but Neves gets double underhooks and turns Machado into the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Heitor Machado. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nice defenses there by Machado. Neves jabs at Machado's body. Machado shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Neves but Neves pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's one minute gone in the round. Neves lands a slapping body shot.
Machado is breathing heavily. Machado bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Machado avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Bruno Neves is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Neves lands a right hook to the body.
Neves cracks Machado with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Neves has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Machado to stand back up!
Machado is rocked! Machado is holding his hands too far apart here. Neves throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Machado is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!
