Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lars Bullock (ranked 3314 p4p, 6471 weight class) and Sam Tripolini (ranked 121 p4p, 132 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sam Tripolini!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Viktor Lagutenko and Sergei Dronov.

A head kick misses from Bullock.
Tripolini looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Tripolini stuns Bullock with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Tripolini takes a swing at Bullock's ribcage but misses.
Tripolini keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Tripolini tries to clinch but Bullock moves out of range.
Lars Bullock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Tripolini darts in and clinches Bullock up against the cage.
Tripolini tries a knee to the head but Bullock blocks it.

Tripolini with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Tripolini comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

It looks like Lars Bullock has been cut.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Tripolini obliges.

Bullock breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Bullock has Tripolini pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Tripolini manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Tripolini lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Bullock wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Bullock pulls Tripolini into guard.
Tripolini tries to free his leg and advance position but Bullock is retaining full guard.
Tripolini wants to control from the top but Bullock keeps moving.
Tripolini tries to stand but Bullock is controlling from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tripolini is looking to advance position but Bullock has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Tripolini is bucking up trying to escape but Bullock cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Tripolini really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bullock. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

We've been hearing good reports from Bullock's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Bullock has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Tripolini is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Tripolini seems to have recovered his senses.

Bullock lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Tripolini! Bullock sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Tripolini and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!
