Pepe keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Pepe was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Robbie Lawler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Pepe counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Lawler changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Pepe tries to avoid it but Lawler manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pepe to the ground. Pepe escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Don Pepe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robbie Lawler.

Lawler takes a swing at Pepe's ribcage but misses.
Pepe was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Lawler closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Pepe quickly recovers to half guard.

Lawler has hold of Pepe's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Pepe tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Lawler cranks the arm and Pepe screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Pepe, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
