Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Darrel Petersen (ranked 2334 p4p, 4358 weight class) and Moe Lester (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

Petersen looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Lester with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Petersen is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Lester is just riding it out for now. Petersen eventually gives up the hold.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Petersen connects with a nice short shot to Lester's temple.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Petersen is looking for a kimura but Lester is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Petersen to get the leverage.
Petersen is keen to just control but Lester is a slippery customer.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Petersen is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Lester has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Lester!

Petersen has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lester can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Petersen manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lester manages to get himself to full guard.
