Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Paul Pot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Schilt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jimmy Schilt has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Paul Pot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schilt throws a low kick, looking for Pot's leg but Pot calmly moves out of range.
Schilt is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
A lazy left from Schilt finds it's target.
Schilt lands a two punch combo.
Pot takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Pot shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Schilt pinned against the cage. Schilt gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Pot fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Schilt, pushing him back against the cage.

Pot tries a knee to the head but Schilt blocks it.
Schilt jumps guard but Pot stands there with Schilt around his waist. Schilt gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Pot using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Schilt has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Pot gets control of Schilt's arms and successfully pulls guard. Pot will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Schilt postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Pot is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Schilt, into his guard.

Pot throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Schilt works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Pot working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Schilt's head.

Schilt has his foot on Pot's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pot works his way back into a safe position though.
Pot has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Schilt had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Pot is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Schilt Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Pot's back instead.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Schilt has the hooks in. Pot is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Pot might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Pot tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Schilt moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Pot has worked his arm free - good work by Pot!

Schilt goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Pot rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Schilt's guard! Nice work there by Pot!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pot thows a huge punch but Schilt dodges it nicely.

Pot is looking for a kimura but Schilt is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Pot to get the leverage.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Schilt thuds his right hand into Pot's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Schilt jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
A chopping leg kick lands by Pot.
Schilt connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Pot's hands.
Schilt misses with a few strikes there.
Pot tries to close the distance and clinch but Schilt swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Pot throws a sloppy head kick and Schilt moves out of range easily.
Schilt avoids the head kick by Pot.
Pot blocks the body kick.
Pot throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Pot scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Pot is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Schilt is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Schilt gets back to half guard.

A close round but Jimmy Schilt will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Schilt throws a half hearted mid kick.
Schilt slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

The crowd cheers as Schilt lands an impressive looking overhand right. Pot doesn't seem phased though.

Jimmy Schilt showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Pot looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Pot darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Schilt slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Schilt has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Pot. Oh but Schilt has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Pot goes limp - he's gone! Schilt jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
