Squirrel's entrance music is Lil Wayne- Milli. A fine choice. Jersey Squirrel has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Colin Fotheringham and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nishimura is looking to clinch but Squirrel is avoiding it.
Squirrel throws a series of punches but Nishimura moves out of range.

Squirrel throws a nice inside leg kick.
Nishimura tries to close the distance and clinch but Squirrel swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Nishimura shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Squirrel pinned against the cage. Squirrel gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Squirrel fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Nishimura looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Nishimura tries to control Squirrel's body but Squirrel pushes him off. Nishimura squirms to his side and now Squirrel has his back!

Nishimura shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Squirrel as he jumps to the side.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Nishimura is trying desperately to land a takedown but Squirrel is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Nishimura.

Squirrel lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Nishimura backs up against the cage.
Nishimura decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Nishimura seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Squirrel does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Nishimura is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.

Squirrel has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
