Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 21 - 19 - 0, fighting out of New York, Yoshi Takano! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 20 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Randy Miller! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, John Kavanagh and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Takano connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
It looks like Randy Miller has been cut. Takano keeps Miller at a distance using the push kick. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Takano. Miller throws out a counter right but Takano avoids it with no problem. Miller fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Takano manages to avoid it. Takano misses with a looping right. Miller blocks the body kick.
Takano ducks under a wild hook from Miller. Miller walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Miller walks into a straight right hand and goes down! Takano rushes to a neutral corner so the count doesn't get delayed but Miller has made it back to his feet on 5. He's OK so we're back to the action. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Takano throws a low kick, looking for Miller's leg but Miller calmly moves out of range. Miller steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Takano. Takano is looking to clinch but Miller is avoiding it.

Miller is trying to break the clinch but Takano is controlling him. Takano prevents Miller from breaking the clinch. Takano has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. A head punch blocked on the inside by Miller. Takano digs a right hand into Miller's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Miller's gas tank. Takano lands a knee to the body.
Miller looks winded! Takano's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Miller has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Miller there as he acknowledges the shot. Both fighters circling a little - Takano finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Takano drops a shoulder and throws a biiiig uppercut that drops Miller onto his butt! Miller pops straight back to his feet to convince the referee that he's OK to continue.
That's one minute gone in the round. Takano dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Miller walks straight into devastating uppercut and drops to the floor, clearly wobbled! Can he beat the count? 4,5,6,7... he's up! And he's down again! The ref steps in and calls an end to the fight! What a punch that was!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Yoshi Takano! Yoshi Takano seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
