0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Corey Owchar! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Yves DeLean and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Owchar is looking to clinch. Owchar shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kaniff pinned against the cage. Kaniff gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Kaniff punishes Owchar's body with a nice straight punch. Owchar tries to clinch up. Kaniff tries to clinch there but Owchar circles away.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Kaniff has his takedown stuffed and Owchar counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
