Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrejs Medvedevs (ranked 23256 p4p, 23727 weight class) and Tyson Hunt (ranked 555 p4p, 582 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Tyson Hunt was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andrejs Medvedevs! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tyson Hunt! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Nard Betker and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A thudding body kick lands there by Medvedevs!
Hunt connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Medvedevs's hands. Medvedevs defending well as Hunt loads up on a big left hand. Medvedevs avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Hunt pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Medvedevs clinches up with Hunt and pushes him back against the cage. Medvedevs has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Hunt regains guard immediately. Hunt escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Medvedevs gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Medvedevs slips nicely into half guard. Hunt is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Medvedevs pulls his head out easily. Medvedevs looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
That's one minute gone in the round. Medvedevs lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Hunt actively working from the bottom here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ground and pound from Medvedevs. Hunt wants to get back to full guard. Medvedevs will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Medvedevs in particular looking to stall. Medvedevs wants to pass to mount but Hunt is defending the position. Medvedevs stalling.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Medvedevs is trying to work for a kimura but Hunt is defending well.
Medvedevs is nestled in close to Hunt, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Hunt looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Hunt tries to roll over but Medvedevs keeps him under control. Medvedevs really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Medvedevs is taking a breather. Hunt says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Medvedevs has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. This is a sustained period of stalling by Medvedevs. Hunt is looking to improve his position.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Ohhhhhhhhhh, brutal head kick from Medvedevs! This one is all over!
