Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jason Killings (ranked 24377 p4p, 5659 weight class) and Jim Lahey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jason Killings ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jim Lahey! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Gregory Folan and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lahey shoots in for a takedown but Killings shows good takedown defense. Lahey misses with a takedown and Killings counters by moving into the clinch. Killings jumps into guard, dragging Lahey to the mat.
Killings seems keen to control Lahey's posture. Killings bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lahey's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Killings throws a big elbow that misses. Killings stays in close to Lahey's body and controls the position. Killings missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Killings controls from within his opponent's guard. Killings seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Lahey for as long as he can get away with. Killings postures up.
Lahey avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Killings working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Lahey is trying to hold Killings in close to prevent damage but Killings has managed to pass into half guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Killings rushes Lahey and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Lahey gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Killings .

Jason Killings dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Lahey tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Killings rushes Lahey and presses him up against the cage. Killings holding his opponent close, against the cage.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Killings preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Lahey lands a couple of elbows. Killings keeping moving, preventing Lahey from controlling successfully. Killings is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Lahey can do to turn this around? Lahey trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Killings is looking for a triangle but Lahey pushes his legs off easily.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Killings scores with a three punch combo!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Killings takes the fight into the clinch. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Lahey misses with a hook to the ribs.

Lahey jumps guard but Killings stands there with Lahey around his waist. Lahey gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Lahey has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Killings avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Killings drops down looking for an ankle pick but Lahey pulls his leg out and moves away.
Killings darts in and clinches Lahey up against the cage. Lahey keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Killings 's efforts to push away. Killings blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Killings ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Killings no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Killings has his foot on Lahey's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lahey works his way back into a safe position though. Jason Killings overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Lahey is clearly looking to counter with head kicks. Killings looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Killings shoots in and drives through. Lahey sprawls well. Lahey darts in looking for a takedown but Killings gets double underhooks and turns Lahey into the cage. Killings fails with the takedown. The fighters are working up against the cage. Killings manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Killings tries to circle away but Lahey has him pinned against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee is keeping an eye on Killings - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Killings is defending well against a takedown attempt. Lahey tries to pull guard but Killings won't allow it.

Killings will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Lahey up against the cage. Killings gets control of Lahey's arms and successfully pulls guard. Killings will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Killings is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Lahey won't allow Killings to sweep him here. Lahey wants to control from the top but Killings keeps moving. Lahey must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Killings is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Lahey is aware though and is defending well. Killings pulls Lahey in to control the position. Lahey trying to control the position from guard on top but Killings is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Killings trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Killings pushes Lahey off and scrambles back to his feet.
Lahey fails to land the takedown. Killings fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Lahey doesn't succeed with the takedown and Killings counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Killings darts in and clinches Lahey up against the cage. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Killings gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Killings is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
And that's the end of the fight! Jason Killings showed his dominance in that final round. Well Killings has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
