Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Demolition Ax!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marcus Knight!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Eddie Farnsworth and Jorge Garcia.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Knight.
Demolition Ax seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Knight goes for a double leg but Ax avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Ax continues to drive forward.
Knight misses with a takedown attempt - Ax sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Demolition Ax has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcus Knight.

Ax shoots in and bounces Knight off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Ax wants to pass the guard but Knight is keeping the position.

Knight is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ax defends well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ax postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ax has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ax accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Knight has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Ax has passed into side control.
Knight looks to move to half guard but instead Ax has passed into mount! Damn!
Ax lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Knight looks winded!

Ax jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Knight manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Ax slows the pace down.
Ax scores with punches from side control.
Ax creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
The referee asks Ax politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Ax prefers to stall for the moment though.
Ax's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ax softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Knight is out cold! Ax jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Demolition Ax!
