Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vic Barnes (ranked 3567 p4p, 5791 weight class) and Mark Tug (ranked 379 p4p, 501 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Vic Barnes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Tug! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, William Gold and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tug misses with a wild body shot. Tug throws a series of punches but Barnes moves out of range. Tug walks into a stiff left hand from Barnes.
It looks like Mark Tug has been cut. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Barnes lands with a kick to the temple. Tug shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Good leg kick by Barnes. Tug takes a swing at Barnes's ribcage but misses. Tug throws a right hand that Barnes ducks under and follows up with a left that Barnes also avoids with ease. Tug works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Tug fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Barnes buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Mark Tug seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Look low, kick high! Barnes uses the oldest trick in the book to send Tug tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Barnes is absolutely delighted - when Tug wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Vic Barnes! In his post fight interview, Vic Barnes started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
