The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alexander tries to clinch but Ortiz is having none of it.
Alexander looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Ortiz looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Alexander!
Alexander is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Ortiz asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Ortiz tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ortiz has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The referee asks Ortiz politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Ortiz prefers to stall for the moment though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ortiz is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Alexander looks calm but he's in trouble here. Ortiz gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Alexander is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Ortiz lets go of the hold and Alexander can pop his arm back in it's socket.
