No luck for Barnes with that takedown attempt.

Komaroff connects with a good right hand that stumbles Barnes. Barnes circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Barnes avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Barnes tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Komaroff drops Barnes with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Barnes looks back up at him and smiles so Komaroff waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

The cut above Fred Barnes's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Komaroff is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Barnes shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
