Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Piff Lord!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kurt Olstein!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Percy O'Donnell and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Olstein avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Piff Lord seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Olstein shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lord as he jumps to the side.
Lord throws a counter high kick but Olstein was just alert enough to avoid it.
Olstein circles away from the clinch attempt.
And Olstein tries to counter it with a takedown but Lord pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Lord is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Lord moves into the clinch.
Olstein changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Lord fights it off and pushes away nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lord tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Olstein doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Lord counters with a head kick. That will keep Olstein thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Piff Lord has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kurt Olstein.
Olstein avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Lord wants to clinch but Olstein slips to the side

and Olstein counters with a nice double leg into side control. Lord won't be happy with that.

Olstein has hold of Lord's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Lord seems comfortable defending it but Olstein has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Lord is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Lord is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Olstein couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Kurt Olstein!
Kurt Olstein was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
